LGBT Affairs offers programs and services throughout the year that cater to the needs of faculty and staff at the University of Florida. There are several ways for LGBT faculty and staff to get involved with LGBT life at UF. Whether it be serving on the LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee (http://hr.ufl.edu/lgbtq/) or attending a social, LGBT faculty and staff can feel connected to the larger campus community.
For new faculty and staff looking for housing options, we suggest you contact Nora Kilroy at the Office of Off Campus Life!
LGBTQ+ Advisory Committee
President Appointed Committee that serves as a vehicle for a systematic and periodic assessment of the quality of life of gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender individuals at the University and make recommendations regarding the need for educational programming, establishment of specific services and programs, and other similar matters. This group examines and recommends revisions in university policies and procedures having potentially negative consequences for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender individuals. The LGBT Concerns Committee also serves as a forum to which various individuals and groups can express concerns related to issues of homophobia and transphobia.
